IPWEAQ NQ and CQ Branch Conference | 27-28 May Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre
CPAA has been accepted for a ‘lightning’ paper presentation (15 minutes) at the IPWEAQ NQ and SQ branch conference to be held at the end of May. Sam Kane from member company Holcim Humes is presenting per the following abstract:
“Steel reinforced concrete pipe is designed to crack, yet the asset managers grapple with acceptance of inconsequential cracks in newly constructed pipelines and how to deal with or more importantly prevent excessive cracking of pipes.
This presentation will clarify what is and is not acceptable, relate CCTV reports to WSA-05 Appendix J, Guide for Internal inspection of newly constructed sewers or stormwater conduits and address the durability concerns as our industry focuses on a minimum of a 100 year service life and are keen for asset managers to achieve this without unnecessary cost and CO2 emissions.”
