Around 85 contractors and consultants attended this month’s CPAA Concrete Pipe Roadshow in Hobart and Launceston. A very big thank you to CPAA Member company Hudson Civil Products who organised and hosted the event alongside Karen Thompson from the CPAA.
The sessions covered Pipe Installation (specifically for contractors and pipe installers) and a session for a wider audience of consultants, engineers, designers, contractors, project managers and QA which covered Durability/Cracks Assessment, Pipe Design (and the CPAA’s PIPECLASS3 design software) and Pipe Installation.
“It is with immense pride I see a little Tassie owned business being able to put on an event like this,” said Michael Hudson from Hudson Civil. “It was a great opportunity to showcase concrete pipe’s inherit strengths and discussing the potential for cracks to appear – mainly during installation – which is the reason we put this show on. There were a few notable omissions at the sessions so we will be running more shortly.”

It’s easy once we all know the essentials that make a difference.”
