CPAA Executive Director Karen Thompson was fortunate to rub shoulders with a wonderful group of women from CPAA member Holcim Humes at the IPWEA Women in Engineering breakfast in Brisbane in June.
“Engineers, engineering drafters, engineering support people that just happen to be women yet some of the best in their field of expertise,” she said. “They don’t turn up wanting to be treated or measured differently, they turn up because they are proud contributors to our industry.”Congrats IPWEA Queensland & Northern Territory (IPWEA-QNT) for hosting the networking breakfast celebrating all and especially Angela Tait who shared her career journey and Lowanna Dunn for sparking awareness to improve our reactions to negative situations.
